I think that a great photo should be memorable and visually enticing, although I find myself caring more about the latter point. I appreciate photos the way I appreciate music; a deep, emotional song that showcases the artist’s vocal prowess. It should be striking, harmonious, and melodic.

Speaking from experience, photography can literally change the direction of your life if you let it. It can take you to a new city, it can take you to a concert to eat tacos with your favorite artist, but ultimately you can end up being remembered as the person who literally makes memories.

What makes a photo great to me, it has to give me chills after I'm done editing it. I used to work a lot in the fashion industry and it was always about hitting the right angles during shows or just regular shoots.

The biggest influence has been seeing female photographers taking over the creative direction of big brand names in conde nast, or even spearheading large projects for celebrities or concerts. I want to capture the female gaze from my own point of view, an Asian queer young adult who sees the world through an idyllic yet colorful lens.
